Recommended dosage

Melinava Liposomal L-Theanine provides 180 mg of pure L-theanine per capsule in a liposomal complex of 450 mg in total.

Take 1 capsule daily with plenty of water. For best results, we recommend taking it regularly for at least 4 weeks.

Tip if you have difficulty swallowing

Place the capsule in your mouth with plenty of water and tilt your head forward (towards your chest). This makes swallowing much easier. Alternatively, you can empty the contents of the capsule into a glass of water and drink it.

Note

Food supplements should not be used as a substitute for a balanced diet. Do not exceed the recommended daily dose. Store in a cool, dry place out of reach of children. Not suitable for pregnant or breastfeeding women. If you are taking prescription medication, we recommend consulting a healthcare professional before use.

Liposomes – the special technology

Our liposomal technology changes the way nutrients are absorbed by the body.

Thanks to their special structure, liposomes encase the active ingredients they contain and protect them from being broken down in the digestive tract.

This allows nutrients to be transported to where they are needed – right into the cells.

The result is increased bioavailability: a larger proportion of the active ingredient reaches the bloodstream unchanged and is actually available to the body.

Less loss, better absorption, more efficient use.

Every batch lab-tested

The secret of green tea.

Buddhist monks have been drinking green tea as part of their daily practice for centuries. No other drink has such a deep cultural connection with the tradition of meditation and contemplation.

What sets green tea apart from other drinks is a special amino acid found almost exclusively in the leaves of the tea plant (Camellia sinensis): L-theanine. It is this non-proteinogenic amino acid that gives tea its characteristic flavour and its unique profile.

Melinava provides this special amino acid in pure, caffeine-free, liposomal form, obtained from high-quality green tea extract. So you get the heart of the tea leaf, highly concentrated and with no compromises.

Targeted, natural, effective.

Products that make a difference.

Safe & uncompromising.

Our products are regularly put through their paces. Every single batch is carefully checked by independent laboratories to ensure that only the best finds its way to you. Our products are developed with dedication in Europe and manufactured in state-of-the-art production facilities.

Only what really counts.

Every ingredient matters to us. Each one is carefully selected and tested, and comes from controlled cultivation. Our formulations contain premium active ingredients in pure form and phospholipids from European sunflowers.

Absolutely nothing to hide.

We pay careful attention not only to which ingredients make it into our formula, but also to which ones stay out: GMO-free, no allergens, no artificial additives, soya-, gluten- and lactose-free.

An amino acid where tradition meets science.

L-theanine is a non-proteinogenic amino acid found almost exclusively in the leaves of the tea plant (Camellia sinensis). It is one of the most intensively researched natural amino acids in modern nutritional science.

Since L-theanine was discovered in 1949 by the Japanese scientist Yajiro Sakato, the number of scientific publications on this amino acid has grown steadily. Once known only as a flavour-giving component of tea, it is now at the centre of growing research interest.

Melinava provides L-theanine in a high-quality liposomal form for anyone who wants to make this amino acid, with its long tradition, a mindful addition to their everyday life.

What tea drinkers have known for centuries.

In Japan, China and Korea, green tea has been one of the most treasured parts of daily food culture for thousands of years. Coffee only found its way to Europe in the 15th century, whereas the documented history of tea goes back more than 4,000 years.

It is no coincidence that it is green tea, not black, that plays such a central role in Asia’s contemplative traditions. L-Theanine is found in much higher concentrations in green tea than in fermented teas, because the fermentation process breaks down some of this special amino acid.

If you want to bring the essence of this tea culture into your diet without drinking 10 or more cups of green tea a day, Melinava L-Theanine offers a concentrated, caffeine-free alternative in liposomal form.

Who is Melinava L-Theanine made for?

Questions and answers.

L-Theanine is a natural, non-proteinogenic amino acid found almost exclusively in the leaves of the tea plant (Camellia sinensis). It was first isolated in 1949 by the Japanese scientist Yajiro Sakato and is the substance that gives green tea its characteristic taste. Today, L-Theanine is one of the most intensively researched natural amino acids and has been part of Asian tea culture for centuries.

L-Theanine is a non-proteinogenic amino acid from the tea plant (Camellia sinensis) that has been part of Asian tea and food culture for millennia. Many people take it as a deliberate addition to their diet, particularly as part of:

  • A daily tea-inspired routine as a caffeine-free alternative
  • A conscious and active lifestyle
  • An evening routine to round off the day
  • Everyday general wellbeing
  • A targeted supply of this rare, plant-based amino acid

Liposomal formulations have the advantage of offering higher bioavailability than conventional supplements. L-Theanine is well tolerated and generally has good oral bioavailability, but the liposomal shell offers an additional advantage: it surrounds the L-Theanine with a protective phospholipid layer and carries the amino acid more efficiently through the digestive tract. This means a smaller amount of liposomal L-Theanine can do more than significantly higher amounts in conventional form.

Melinava L-Theanine should ideally be stored in a cool (below 25°C), dry place away from light.

Yes! It contains no animal components or ingredients whatsoever, so it is perfectly suitable for vegans and vegetarians.

Results with food supplements vary from person to person and depend on factors such as age, lifestyle, diet and dosage. Many users report an increased sense of general wellbeing after several weeks of regular use. We recommend making it part of your daily routine and taking it every day for at least 4 to 6 weeks.

Within the recommended dosage, L-Theanine is well tolerated by adults and can also be taken over a longer period.

Not recommended for pregnant and breastfeeding women. If you are taking prescription medication, we recommend consulting a healthcare professional before use.
