Directions & notes How to take the product.

Recommended dosage

Each capsule of Melinava Liposomal L-Lysine provides 160 mg of pure L-Lysine as part of a 400 mg liposomal complex.

Take 1 capsule daily with plenty of water, ideally on an empty stomach or between meals. For best results, we recommend taking it regularly for at least 8 weeks.

Tip if you have trouble swallowing

Place the capsule in your mouth with plenty of water and tilt your head down (chin towards your chest). This makes swallowing much easier. Alternatively, you can empty the capsule contents into a glass of water and drink it.

Note

Food supplements should not be used as a substitute for a balanced diet. Do not exceed the recommended daily dose. Store in a cool, dry place out of the reach of children. Not for pregnant and breastfeeding women without consulting a healthcare professional. If you are taking prescription medication, we recommend checking with your doctor before use. If you have a known kidney condition, please consult a healthcare professional before use.

Liposomes – the special technology

Our liposomal technology changes the way nutrients are absorbed by the body.

Thanks to their special structure, liposomes encase the active ingredients they contain and protect them from being broken down in the digestive tract.

This allows nutrients to be transported to where they are needed – right into the cells.

The result is increased bioavailability: a larger proportion of the active ingredient reaches the bloodstream unchanged and is actually available to the body.

Less loss, better absorption, more efficient use.

A building block of life, from the ground up.

L-lysine is one of the nine essential amino acids that the human body cannot produce itself. Getting it from food is therefore vital.

As a proteinogenic amino acid, L-lysine is a direct building block of the body's natural proteins. It occurs naturally in collagen, muscle tissue, connective tissue, skin, hair and bones. Together with L-methionine, L-lysine is also involved in the body's own production of L-carnitine.

Vegans, vegetarians and people with a restricted diet in particular are at greater risk of an inadequate lysine supply, as this amino acid is found in high concentrations mainly in animal foods such as meat, fish, eggs and dairy. Athletes and physically active people also often have a higher protein requirement.

Melinava provides L-lysine in a liposomal formulation for anyone who wants to top up their intake of this essential amino acid in a targeted way.

Targeted, natural, effective.

Products that make a difference.

Safe & uncompromising.

Our products are regularly put through their paces. Every single batch is carefully checked by independent laboratories to ensure that only the best finds its way to you. Our products are developed with dedication in Europe and manufactured in state-of-the-art production facilities.

Only what really counts.

Every ingredient matters to us. Each one is carefully selected and tested, and comes from controlled cultivation. Our formulations contain premium active ingredients in pure form and phospholipids from European sunflowers.

Absolutely nothing to hide.

We pay careful attention not only to which ingredients make it into our formula, but also to which ones stay out: GMO-free, no allergens, no artificial additives, soya-, gluten- and lactose-free.

L-Lysine and collagen: a biochemical connection.

Collagen is one of the most abundant structural proteins in the human body and is found in skin, bones, tendons, cartilage and connective tissue. L-lysine is one of the amino acids found as a building block in the body's own collagen.

As an essential amino acid, L-lysine has to be obtained from food or targeted supplementation, as the body cannot produce it itself. By making sure you have an adequate supply of L-lysine, you ensure that this important protein building block is available to your body.

Who is Melinava L-Lysine made for?

L-lysine is a supplement for people who want to make sure they get enough of this essential amino acid. It is particularly interesting for:

  • Vegans and vegetarians, as plant foods (apart from pulses) contain significantly less L-lysine than animal foods
  • Athletes and physically active people with increased protein requirements
  • Nutrition-conscious people who value a complete supply of amino acids
  • Anyone who wants to make L-lysine part of their longevity and vitality routine

L-Lysine and L-Arginine: two amino acids in balance.

L-lysine and L-arginine are both proteinogenic amino acids that are absorbed in the body via the same transport mechanism. Biochemically, they exist in a natural balance with each other.

A one-sided diet or increased requirements can shift this balance. As a targeted supplement, L-lysine can help to maintain the balance in the body's natural amino acid pool. This is exactly the relationship that the scientific literature has described for decades.

Questions and answers.

L-Lysine is an essential amino acid that the body must obtain from food. It is an important building block for numerous proteins and is also involved in the formation of tissue and enzymes. L-Lysine is found mainly in protein-rich foods, such as meat, fish, eggs, dairy products, pulses, nuts and seeds.

L-lysine is an essential, proteinogenic amino acid that the body cannot produce itself. Many people take it as a deliberate addition to their diet, particularly for:

  • A targeted supply of an essential amino acid that has to be obtained from food
  • A complete amino acid supply, especially on a vegan or vegetarian diet
  • An increased protein requirement due to sport or physical activity
  • Supporting a healthy lysine-arginine balance
  • Supporting general wellbeing in everyday life

Liposomal formulations have the advantage of offering higher bioavailability than conventional supplements. L-Lysine generally has good oral bioavailability, but the gut’s absorption capacity is limited at higher doses.

Another biochemical factor: in the gut, L-Lysine and L-Arginine use the same transport mechanism and therefore compete for absorption. The liposomal shell surrounds the L-Lysine with a protective phospholipid layer and carries the amino acid more efficiently through the digestive tract, regardless of whether other amino acids are absorbed at the same time.

This means a smaller amount of liposomal L-Lysine can supply the body more effectively than significantly higher amounts in conventional form.

Melinava L-Lysine should preferably be stored in a cool (below 25°C), dry place, protected from light.

Yes! It contains no animal components or ingredients whatsoever, so it is perfectly suitable for vegans and vegetarians.

Your individual L-Lysine status depends on factors such as age, diet and lifestyle. As L-Lysine is an essential amino acid that the body cannot produce itself, taking it regularly for at least 4 to 6 weeks is recommended to ensure a steady supply.

Within the recommended dosage, L-Lysine is well tolerated by adults and can also be taken over a longer period.

Not recommended for pregnant and breastfeeding women without consulting a healthcare professional. If you are taking prescription medication or have an existing kidney condition, we recommend consulting a healthcare professional before use.
