Directions & notes How to take the product.

Recommended dosage

Melinava Omega 3 Vegan is a high-strength formula, with 1,500 mg of high-quality algal oil per daily dose, including 300 mg EPA and 600 mg DHA from the patented premium ingredient OMEGAVIE®.

Take 2 capsules a day with plenty of water. For best results, we recommend taking them regularly for at least 8 weeks.

Tip if you have trouble swallowing

Place the capsules in your mouth with plenty of water and tilt your head forward (chin towards your chest). This makes swallowing much easier. Alternatively, you can empty the contents of the capsules into a glass of water and drink it.

Note

Food supplements should not be used as a substitute for a balanced diet. Do not exceed the recommended daily dose. Store in a cool, dry place out of the reach of children.

Contraindications

If you are being treated with anticoagulants or antiplatelet drugs, consult a doctor before use.

Because it's what's inside that counts.

For us, quality starts with the ingredients. That’s why we choose our raw materials carefully and process them gently.

Everything we use has a clear purpose – everything else, we leave out.

Omega-3 straight from the source.

Omega-3 fatty acids are considered some of the most thoroughly researched nutrients of all. DHA and EPA are the two most important omega-3 fatty acids, which the body can only produce itself in very small amounts from alpha-linolenic acid. Getting them directly from food or through targeted supplementation therefore makes sense for many people – not least because the body's natural conversion rate declines with age.

Anyone looking to meet their needs usually thinks of fish. Yet fish is not the origin of the omega-3 fatty acids DHA and EPA. Their real source is microalgae: fish eat the algae, and that is how these fatty acids enter their metabolism. Melinava Omega-3 Vegan skips this detour: the premium ingredient OMEGAVIE® 150/300 provides DHA and EPA directly from controlled microalgae fermentation. Vegan, high-strength, sustainable and without any fishy taste or smell.

Targeted, natural, effective.

Products that make a difference.

Safe & uncompromising.

Our products are regularly put through their paces. Every single batch is carefully checked by independent laboratories to ensure that only the best finds its way to you. Our products are developed with dedication in Europe and manufactured in state-of-the-art production facilities.

Only what really counts.

Every ingredient matters to us. Each one is carefully selected and tested, and comes from controlled cultivation. Our formulations contain premium active ingredients in pure form and phospholipids from European sunflowers.

Absolutely nothing to hide.

We pay careful attention not only to which ingredients make it into our formula, but also to which ones stay out: GMO-free, no allergens, no artificial additives, soya-, gluten- and lactose-free.

It's all in the head – quite literally.

The brain is one of the fattiest organs in the body. Around 60 per cent of its dry mass consists of fatty acids, and DHA is the most abundant of these. It is a structural component of the cell membranes in the brain, where it is found in particularly high concentrations. The body cannot produce sufficient amounts of DHA on its own, which is why a regular intake is important. After all, DHA contributes to the maintenance of normal brain function.

Support for the most important muscle in the body.

Your heart beats around 100,000 times a day. That makes it the hardest-working muscle in the body, and it relies on a continuous intake of the right nutrients. EPA and DHA are two of them and contribute to the normal function of the heart. Omega-3 from algae oil provides both fatty acids in a balanced ratio, directly, in a form the body can absorb well.

Clear focus, every day.

Our eyes are constantly at work, processing thousands of light stimuli from morning to night. Deep in the retina, one fatty acid plays a central role: DHA. It is one of the most abundant fatty acids there and an integral part of the light-sensitive cells. DHA contributes to the maintenance of normal vision. However, the body can only produce limited amounts of DHA itself, which is why a regular intake makes sense, not least for your eyes.

Questions and answers.

Fish don't produce omega-3 themselves. They take it in by eating algae. Algae oil therefore provides DHA and EPA straight from the source. The result: the same fatty acids, completely plant-based, without any fishy taste and sustainably sourced.

Some foods, such as linseed, contain alpha-linolenic acid (ALA), a short-chain omega-3 fatty acid. The body can only convert very small amounts of ALA into DHA and EPA. Algal oil provides DHA and EPA that the body can use directly.

Melinava Omega 3 Vegan should ideally be stored in a cool (below 25°C), dry place away from light. Use promptly after opening.

Yes. The algal oil is sustainably produced and contains no animal components whatsoever. The softgel capsule is also 100% plant-based.

Results vary from person to person, depending on factors such as age, diet, lifestyle and dosage. A daily intake of EPA and DHA contributes to normal heart function, brain function and vision. As the body only adapts to a regular nutrient supply over time, we recommend taking it for at least 8 weeks.

At the recommended dose, omega-3 from algae oil is generally very well tolerated. If you take medication regularly, it is best to check with a doctor beforehand.

The TOTOX value is a measure of the oxidative stability of fats and oils. It shows how resistant the oil is to breaking down or ‘going rancid’. The OmegaVie® 150/300 microalgae oil used in Melinava Omega 3 Vegan is produced using Qualitysilver®5 technology and therefore has a very low TOTOX value of 3. This means the oil is particularly stable, of excellent quality and stays fresh for a long time.
