Directions & notes How to take the product.

Recommended dosage

Melinava Microencapsulated Butyrate is a high-strength formula, with 450 mg of inulin, 346 mg of sodium butyrate and 19 mg of zinc per daily dose.

Take 2 capsules daily with plenty of water. For best results, we recommend taking them regularly for at least 8 weeks.

Tip if you have difficulty swallowing

Place the capsules in your mouth with plenty of water and tilt your head forward (towards your chest). This makes swallowing much easier. Alternatively, you can empty the contents of the capsules into a glass of water and drink it.

Note

Food supplements should not be used as a substitute for a balanced diet. Do not exceed the recommended daily dose. Store in a cool, dry place out of the reach of children.

A quiet system with a big job.

People rarely like to talk about the gut, yet it is one of the most complex systems in the human body. Around 100 trillion microorganisms live there and are directly connected to the immune system. After all, around 70 per cent of all the body's immune cells are found in the gut. What keeps this system running is a delicate balance of diet, lifestyle and the right nutrient supply.

Melinava Microencapsulated Butyrate with inulin and zinc targets exactly this. Sodium butyrate is a short-chain fatty acid that is naturally formed from dietary fibre in the large intestine. Inulin from chicory root is one of these fibres, reaching the large intestine undigested. Zinc completes the formula as a trace element that contributes to the normal function of the immune system. A high-quality complex with the patented MATRIS® microencapsulation technology: odourless, tasteless and with crucial protection against stomach acid.

Targeted, natural, effective.

Products that make a difference.

Safe & uncompromising.

Our products are regularly put through their paces. Every single batch is carefully checked by independent laboratories to ensure that only the best finds its way to you. Our products are developed with dedication in Europe and manufactured in state-of-the-art production facilities.

Only what really counts.

Every ingredient matters to us. Each one is carefully selected and tested, and comes from controlled cultivation. Our formulations contain premium active ingredients in pure form and phospholipids from European sunflowers.

Absolutely nothing to hide.

We pay careful attention not only to which ingredients make it into our formula, but also to which ones stay out: GMO-free, no allergens, no artificial additives, soya-, gluten- and lactose-free.

Inulin: the food your gut needs.

For the body's natural bacteria in the large intestine to produce butyrate, they need the right food. Inulin is one of the substances they can use for this. It belongs to the group of natural dietary fibres that the human body cannot digest itself. This important nutrient from chicory root (Cichorium intybus) therefore passes through the stomach and small intestine undigested and reaches the large intestine. There it serves as a food source for bacteria, which ferment and process it. In this way, Melinava Microencapsulated Butyrate combines two carefully chosen ingredients in one capsule.

Why fibre alone isn't always enough.

Butyrate is a short-chain fatty acid produced from dietary fibre by bacteria in the large intestine. It is formed through the bacterial fermentation of fibre in the large intestine and is therefore a natural part of gut metabolism. However, the body cannot store butyrate, and its production depends directly on the balance of the gut flora. This balance is delicate and can be influenced by many everyday factors. Melinava Microencapsulated Butyrate provides this important nutrient in a high concentration.

The trace element that never takes a break.

Like butyrate, zinc cannot be stored by the body. Yet zinc is one of the most important trace elements and is involved in more than 300 enzymatic processes. Among other things, it contributes to the normal function of the immune system and to normal energy-yielding metabolism. And the immune system in particular is closely linked to the gut: around 70 per cent of all the body's immune cells are found there. Zinc is therefore a sensible addition to Melinava Sodium Butyrate. Melinava Microencapsulated Butyrate provides zinc as zinc bisglycinate, the organic form with optimised absorption.

Questions and answers.

Sodium butyrate is the sodium salt of butyrate, a fatty acid produced in the large intestine by bacteria from dietary fibre. It is considered a natural part of intestinal metabolism.

Inulin is a natural dietary fibre from chicory root (Cichorium intybus) that the human body cannot digest. In the large intestine, however, it serves as a food source for butyrate-producing bacteria. Sodium butyrate and inulin therefore complement each other as two well-matched nutrients.

Zinc is an essential trace element that the body cannot store. Among other things, it contributes to the normal function of the immune system and to normal energy-yielding metabolism. It also contributes to the maintenance of normal skin, hair and nails. As zinc bisglycinate, it comes in an organic form with optimised absorption and complements Melinava Microencapsulated Butyrate, which is focused on supporting the gut.

In its raw form, butyrate has an intense smell that many people find very unpleasant. Without protection, it would also be broken down in the stomach before reaching the large intestine. The patented MATRIS® microencapsulation with ethyl cellulose solves both problems: smell and taste are completely neutralised, and the active ingredient is only released where it is needed, in the large intestine.

Melinava Microencapsulated Butyrate is best stored in a cool (below 25°C), dry place away from light.

Yes! It contains no animal components or ingredients whatsoever, so it is perfectly suitable for vegans and vegetarians.

As with all food supplements, individual experience varies and depends on factors such as age, diet, lifestyle and how regularly it is taken. For a steady supply, we recommend taking it daily for at least 8 weeks.
